Keeping Venues Safe
We'd like to introduce you to a new program to reduce antisocial
behaviour in late night trading venues. Until now the facts
and statistics show that there are many problems, but no real
solutions and no winners.
Malcolm Britt from Venuecard has spent the last 9 months
creating a system that will finally make drunk and drug effected
people responsible for their behaviour in and around night
clubs.
Venuecard are currently trying to generate support from patrons,
parents, government, media, businesses, chambers of commerce,
advocacy groups and anyone that is interested in making venues
safe for them and their children.
If you are a young adult or the parent of young adults please
register your email address at the Venuecard
website and you will be notified of their progress.
The more registrations we have the more ammunition we will
have to lobby government and the hotel industry so that they
will adopt this much needed program.
Show your support for this innovative concept to keep the
voilence and associated problems out of our venues. Click

We know what the problems are ...
Noise & Vandalism: Residents and business
owners residing near venues are exposed to public urination,
damage and noise
Drugs: Violence at venues is on the rise,
particularly
since the increased use of ICE and other drugs
Safety: Patrons, particularly women, are
not going out for fear of being harassed or assaulted
Security: Patrons are intimidated by excessive
and authoritarian security staff
Midnight Lock Out: Midnight lock out reduces
your choice of venue after 12am
Violence: Unprovoked violence is a constant
threat to timid patrons
Bans: Bans are only useful if the staff
or security on duty remember the patron
No Consequences: Patrons have no motivation
to act responsibly because the worst consequence is being
ejected from the venue
Some of the Solutions
