It took a passionate mother with courage led by her passion
to think about the future of her two sons to create a Biodegradable

We all know when we start a family we look at things in a
totally different way. A time when we realise that we have
a baby that is depending on us to give them a happy life,
and make the world a happy place for them.
Marlene Sandberg was one of these women that made things
happen. While reading about waste associated with disposable
nappies Marlene felt guilty about products she was using for
her son Edward. She commenced a search for a safer nappy to
use and was unsuccessful in her search.
On finding out more about waste associated with disposable
nappies, Marlene realised the situation was becoming a major
problem the world over. Marlene then decided to look into
the industry, what was available and investigate the possibility
of making her own Biodegradable disposable nappy. Experiments
commenced, and Marlene sold her shares in her law firm to
fund her dream. It was a risk and 5 years of hard work before
Marlene had designed a Biodegradable Disposable nappy that
was ready to be sold in her home country Sweden.
| 1994 heralded the arrival
of the Nature Babycare Biodegradable Disposable nappies,
and since their appearance in Sweden Marlene has seen
the Eco message become a major subject worldwide and
now many mothers with the same views as Marlene are
now using the Nature Babycare Nappies.
