How do I apply mineral foundation make up?
- Shake jar to loosen
- Remove the plastic seal on the plastic sifter
- Cleanse, tone and moisturise the skin
- Wait until the moisturiser is dry and set prior
to applying mineral foundation to avoid caking.
Dry application for light coverage:
This technique is to achieve natural coverage. Pour
some mineral foundation on the lid and swirl your Heidi
Yi Kabuki brush, tap off excess powder back in to the
lid. Start applying in circular motion in thin layers
starting from forehead down and work your way down.
Keep reapplying layers until you achieve the coverage
that you desire. Recommend Heidi Yi cream trio concealer
for covering dark circles under the eyes if needed.
Wet application for full coverage:
This technique is to achieve extra coverage. Using fingers
mix small amount of mineral foundation with cream moisturiser
on back of your hand that has thick consistency or facial
oil to form pasty/creamy consistency. Apply with a brush
or fingers starting from forehead down. This gives a
similar effect to liquid or cream foundation. Set it
with loose mineral foundation using a Heidi Yi kabuki
brush but this is optional.
How do I look after my brushes?
Brushes need to be regularly cleaned to prevent
build up of natural skin oils and product. Simple maintenance
will help preserve your high quality kabuki brushes
and allow for more even coverage. Shampoo your brushes
with normal hair shampoo, rinse well and repeat if needed.
Allow to air dry well before using again.
Is the mineral make up safe to use?
Mineral make up has anti-inflammatory properties and
is anti comedogenic meaning it doesn’t clog pores.
